You’ll learn that you can tell the truth and hear the truth from others and get through it, build connection and grow your confidence. This is a liberating experience and you'll come out stronger than you came in.   HOW THE INTENSIVE WORKS A Radical Honesty Weekend Workshop is a playground to experiment with telling the truth out loud. What that means is to speak about whatever arises for you in the present moment in a direct, congruent way. Through direct sharing, we quickly see how we hold ourselves back from living the life we want, block intimacy, and use our minds to make ourselves unhappy. Radical Honesty principles and skills are taught in a planned experiential sequence to support you in telling the truth and sticking with whatever comes up. We want you to leave the weekend with a new set of communication skills and freedom from obsessive thinking. WHO IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR? This workshop is for you if you want to live your life authentically according to your heart’s desire. It’s for you if you are looking for new ways to get (and stay) out of your mind and experience a greater sense of freedom in your interactions, as well as more creative energy to cooperate on projects of your design. This workshop is for you if you're curious (and a little nervous) about sharing honestly and learning to love all different parts about you. WHO IS LEADING THE WORKSHOP? Michael Alan Kolb Michael Kolb, aka Mak, has a BA in Psychology and is a certified Radical Honesty Trainer. Since 2015, he has been a trainer-in-training under the guidance of Radical Honesty founder, Dr. Brad Blanton, and RH Master Trainer, Taber Shadburne. Mak is committed to helping people develop the skills needed to live life out loud, to mend and build (and sometimes end) meaningful relationships and to ground themselves in experiential reality. He is particularly interested in the problems of existentialism, couples work and open relationships, confronting the Self and dealing creatively with anger and conflict. He lives and works in Los Angeles and is a founding member of a community that is building an Eco-Lodge/Retreat Center in San Juán de Diós, Costa Rica. “Radical Honesty has been profoundly instrumental in helping me reshape my view of the world, how I see myself in it and how I choose to move through it, especially in relationship to another human being. This experiential practice of self-exploration while in contact with another person has helped me confront my Self in a way that I had been avoiding for many years by attempting to ’go it alone’ with meditation and self-study.” -Mak Marvin Schulz M.Sc., is one of the most experienced Radical Honesty Trainers and organizes workshops in Europe, Africa, and the Americas. As a former auditor for investment banks in New York and Executive Assistant for a multi-billion dollar company on Broadway, Marvin experienced the detrimental effects of lying and withholding first hand: at age 26, he was depressed and burned out.  “I had a promising career in front of me. However, I felt horrible and empty. None of the money I made could compensate for my inner yearning for love, connection and a happy life. After deciding not to kill myself, I opted for a Radical Honesty Workshop. After that, I still killed myself, but in a very different way: I killed my self-image and completed my past.” He left the corporate rat wheel and embarked on his journey towards a more authentic, joyous, and connected life. He moved back to Germany and healed his own wounds by having honest conversations with important people. He cleaned up his past using Radical Honesty. Dr. Blanton invited Marvin to live at his place in Virginia for one season and certified him as a Radical Honesty trainer three years later. Here is a beautiful video from one of Marvin’s workshops. Marvin has the ability to bring humor into seemingly serious processes while staying compassionate and curious. He is comfortable going into discomfort and can guide participants in re-experiencing hurt and pain while holding them in the here and now. His style is inquisitive, simple, and direct – often with a wink and never without compassion. Marvin has lived in China, Mexico, South Africa and the United States and studied cross-cultural communication. He currently resides in Prague, Czech Republic, where he produces music, drinks coffee and enjoys what he often calls the most beautiful city in the world.
